Where can I get the best self defense video instruction for life and death situation?

Since age 6 Ihave been studying, practicing and teaching martial arts and self defense. Cirstances prevent me from attending regular regular cles now but I still manage to get a few a hours practice in with a neighbour each week. We are currently working with Gracie combative video series. With the recent controversy regarding combat survival Krav Maga it is unlikely that I will spend much time on that course despit having spent over $300 dollars on it.
