If a male is in A coma for a month or so, can he not have kids afterwards?

My fiance was in acoma for a month last year due to a severe asthma attack. He almost died. We have been trying to concieve for about a year now...and haven't succeeded. Can the fact that he was in a coma affect him being able to make a kid?
