Getting braces of!!!!?

ok, so, im gonna get my braces off in like a month or two, and i just wanted to know how its gonna happen, how long its gonna take, some poeple say that a retainer gives people a slight lisp...is that true? also, how does it feel afterwards? do they whiten your teeth? or do we have to do that one our own? thanks!!
