Fellow Transformers fans (the real fans who watched the cartoon series in the 80's)?

What do you think of the idea of Shockwave being the next main villain in the next Transformers movie? Do you think after the first movie they did Megatron any Justice? I think they ruined his rep as a formidable villain after Revenge of the fallen. I love the way they did Prime but, Dislike how they made Megatron to be somewhat of a wimp who bowed down to another Decepticon when he was so ruthless in the G1 Series.
